[Call of the Abyss V Begins]
- [The City of Lights], the registration phase of COA V, has officially begun! Please tap on the event entrance on the main interface to enter. Call of the Abyss V is divided into four phases in the following sequence: The City of Lights, Neon Corridor, Ethereal Theatre, and Color Out of Space.
- [The City of Lights] is the Pre-registration Phase for COA V. This phase begins on December 23, 2021 and lasts until December 30, 2021, during which the Club Captains can register their clubs for free, and their club members will be eligible to participate in COA V. Registration will remain open until January 10, 2022, 00:00.
- [Neon Corridor] is the Preliminary Phase for COA V. This phase begins on December 30, 2021 and lasts until January 13, 2022, during which Registered clubs will compete with others to obtain bountiful event-exclusive rewards. Unregistered players/clubs will also be able to participate to earn a portion of the rewards. Clubs competing in the [Neon Corridor] phase will obtain points, and the top 100 clubs (top 50 for regions outside mainland China) with the most points will advance to the [Ethereal Theatre] phase.
- [Ethereal Theatre] is the Playoff Phase for COA V. This phase will take place from January 13, 2022 to January 20, 2022. The top 100 clubs (top 50 for regions outside mainland China) from [Neon Corridor] will compete for points in [Ethereal Theatre]. The top 8 teams with the most points will be invited to the COA V Online Qualifier. If any clubs among the top 8 have already qualified for the COA V Qualifier/Global Finals, the next club in line will be invited.
- [Color Out of Space] is the Rankings Announcement Phase for COA V. This phase will commence on January 20, 2022 (after maintenance). The top 8 regional clubs from [Ethereal Theatre] will be announced and invited to the upcoming COA V Online Qualifier.

[Battle]
- Corresponding icons will now appear on the minimap when Survivors send certain quick messages.
- Added quick messages regarding Dungeons, Basements, and Exit Gates.
- Improved the item judgment for using Pass Cards and Exchange Cards in the Results Interface in Blackjack Mode. Unselected items will now be deemed invalid.
[Experience Improvements]
- Deleted the following quick messages: "Thank you!", "Come on! Keep it up!", "Don't decode together!", "The Exit Gate is open!", "The Hunter has Detention!", "I have Borrowed Time!" Added the following quick messages: "Don't get knocked down here!", "Stay calm and prioritize!", "Forget about me!", "Priming...", "Continue decoding!", "You're on your own!"
- Improved the translation for certain quick messages.
- Improved the Gardener's Costume "Ghost Girl" by replacing its model and special effects.
[Bug Fixes]
- Fixed an issue where, after "Nightmare" reached Tier 2 and attacked the Wildling while he was Riding (switching his Partner to the following status), the next attack's backswing couldn't be interrupted.
- Fixed an issue where the AI Hunter's movements would have anomalies after the Novelist inflicted Metaphor on them.
- Fixed an issue where the audio was interrupted when Geisha used Dancing in Misery.
- Fixed an issue where, if the "Psychologist" held the ability button when escaping through the Exit Gate, the ability icon would appear in the spectating interface as she enters Spectate mode.
- Fixed an issue where, if the Entomologist held the Insect Net icon and dragged it across the screen at the end of a round in Blackjack Mode, the net icon would appear again.
- Fixed an issue where, if the Wildling fell from the back of his Wildling Partner due to the damage from a single stack of Pierce inflicted by the Breaking Wheel while riding with zero Fear, he would freeze on the spot.
- Fixed an issue where changing directions while throwing Snowballs wasn't synced across different clients.
- Fixed an issue where, when a player purchased and used Dovlin, the Dovlin icon wouldn't disappear.
- Fixed an issue where, if the "Little Girl" used Memory Sync on the Novelist and then terminated it after the Novelist inflicted Metaphor on the Hunter, the Novelist could still see the button for terminating Memory Sync.
- Fixed the issue where the Hunter couldn't remove several negative statuses when they used Active Trait "Excitement."
Negative Play and Cheating Penalties
It has recently come to our attention that a small number of players have been found guilty of non-participation, negative play, and cheating, all of which significantly affect the experience of other players and threaten the game's fairness. In the future, we will intensify the punishments for such behaviors in order to provide a healthy gaming environment for everyone. We also encourage you to use the in-game reporting system to provide us with feedback when encountering negative behavior. Let us work together to maintain order and integrity in the Manor.
