February 1 Update Overview
[Season Essence]
- Season 30 Essence 2 is now available. New costumes include Puppeteer's S-rarity Costume "KING-h1," Cheerleader's A-rarity Costume "BISHOP-f1," and Night Watch's A-rarity Costume "KNIGHT-c3." At 80/130/180 draws, players will receive the following bonus rewards, respectively: [Portrait] Cheerleader - BISHOP-f1/[Portrait] Night Watch - KNIGHT-c3/[Portrait] Puppeteer - KING-h1.
[Dancing Dragons Usher in the New Year]
- The trio of the dragon dance troupe arrived in Chinatown as scheduled. Led by the antique shop owner, the antique restorer grew closer to completing the dragon's drawing with each passing day. An interest in dragon dances gradually grew within her, and so she decided to collect the materials and seek help from the troupe leader to craft a small dragon of her own. Amid the drawing and learning to create the dragon, the antique restorer learned more about the tradition of dragon dance.

Name: Matthias Czernin
Identity: Puppeteer
Background: Everyone has always expected Matthias to be "Louis," but Matthias himself and the person who sent the "invitation" were exceptions to that.
External Traits:
- "Louis"
Carries the puppet known as "Louis," also known as the Perfect "Self," enabling him to transform into "Louis" while increasing his Fear by 25%. While controlling "Louis," Fear equal to that of a normal attack can be neutralized. When Hunter's normal attack hits "Louis," the recovery speed of this normal attack will reduce by 10%."Louis" lasts 8 seconds or until all damage has been neutralized. When there is a Survivor on a Rocket Chair within 20 meters, "Louis" will expire 100% faster.As "Louis" is an inanimate puppet, Undaunted is available 1 time while controlling "Louis." The Puppeteer cannot move, take damage, or be affected by control effects while Undaunted is active.
- Flexible Joints
Each increase in Fear grants an 8% Movement Speed bonus for 8 seconds.
- Useless Flesh
Although lifelike on the outside, "Louis" is made of wood and machinery. Unable to receive healing from other Survivors when wounded, and the time taken to heal other Survivors is increased by 30%. Every Survivor healed reduces the Puppeteer and other Survivors' Fear by 25%, and healed Survivors take 20% longer to heal when being healed again.
"Louis" can heal minor injuries, and the healing time for minor injuries is the same as healing a regular injury.
[Call of the Abyss VII "Delirious Visions" Begins]
- The fourth phase of Call of the Abyss VII, Delirious Visions, will commence on February 2, 2024, at 9:30 (Asia Server Time) and on February 1, 2024, at 22:30 (NA-EU Server Time). The top 8 clubs (top 5 clubs in Japan) advanced from the Delirious Visions phase in different regions will be announced in the game.
- Infested Crater Club Points will be settled when the fourth phase begins, and all unsettled Abyss Points will be voided.
- Call of the Abyss VII Online Qualifiers will start in March 2024. The regional qualifiers will be broadcast live on all platforms. Stay tuned!
[Experience Improvements]
- Added ability introduction videos for some characters. Click on "Video Guides" on the Character Details page in the Notebook or the Shop to watch them. The characters include Doctor, Lawyer, Thief, Gardener, Magician, Explorer, Mercenary, Coordinator, Mechanic, Forward, Hell Ember, Smiley Face, Gamekeeper, The Ripper, Soul Weaver, Geisha, and Fool's Gold.
- Added sensitivity adjustment features to the abilities of some characters. You can view it in [Settings] → [Controls] → [Characters].
- Optimized the logic for the Acrobat to escape when using bombs to jump and land in certain situations.
- Increased the number of Rocket Chair outlines visible to the Hunter when holding a balloon, and the outlines will no longer disappear in close distance.
[Bug Fixes]
- Fixed an issue where the model of the "Little Girl" would flicker after using Teleport.
- Fixed an issue where the model of the "Little Girl" would not disappear after using Teleport at a higher location.
- Fixed an issue where Gamekeeper's normal attack did not receive an Attack Recovery Speed bonus when knocking down a Survivor affected by rotting leaves.
- Fixed an issue where Wu Chang's umbrella would remain when spectating in Synesthesia mode.
- Fixed an issue where the Fool's Gold could place a Magnetic Rock in a closed basement when using Magnetic Conversion.
- Fixed an issue where unaffected Survivors could see the Siphon Soul progress bar when Wu Chang used Siphon Soul.
- Fixed an issue where the costume "Fool's Gold - Rhyolite" did not have footstep sounds while moving in the Room.
- Fixed an issue where the Hunters' normal attacks did not match the animation.
- Fixed an issue where the Cowboy could use the Lasso to hit teammates through gaps between buildings in Eversleeping Town.
- Fixed an issue where the Mechanic's Doll would display a shorter prompt time after being attacked when there were no obstacles between the Mechanic and the Hunter.
- Fixed an issue where Axe Boy's action could be abnormal when the Resentful Soul disappeared while using Dispel Souls.
- Fixed an issue where the illusion generated by the Journalist could have abnormal movement direction.
- Fixed an issue where the Feaster's Nightmare Attack had abnormal targeting under certain circumstances.
- Fixed an issue where cobwebs would block Toy Merchant's Gliding and Survivors' Repulsion.
- Fixed an issue where the Ripper's Fog Blade would hit and knock down units.
- Fixed an issue where the Acrobat could not exit the charged Bomb interface in some cases.
- Fixed an issue where the Axe Boy's attempt to unlock the Tier I ability while carrying Insolence might fail to plant the Peaceful Pine.
- Fixed an issue where Hell Ember's Phantom would not attack the survivor in some cases.
- Fixed an issue where the button placed on the left side in Custom Settings might not respond to clicks.
- Fixed an issue where the preview effect position was incorrect when Guard 26 charged up and threw a bomb.

Penalties for Violations
It has recently come to our attention that a small number of players have violated our code of conduct through delaying tactics, intentionally losing, idling, playing negatively, using cheats, cheating in Blackjack mode, and hindering matchmaking for top-ranked matches, all of which significantly affect the experience of other players. We have started punishing these violations in order to provide a healthy gaming environment for everyone. We also encourage you to use the in-game reporting system when encountering the behaviors above. Let us work together to maintain order and integrity in the Manor.
