To ensure smooth operation, Identity V will issue a hotfix on Thursday, at 08:00 (UTC+8).
- This week's maintenance will be replaced by a hotfix. The hotfix will begin at 08:00 on August 15, 2024 (UTC+8), during which most of the game modes will remain available, including Quick Match, Custom Mode, Events, and Logic Path. (Note: The entrance to Ranked Match will be closed during the hotfix. However, Ranked Matches already in progress will not be affected.)
- After 10:30 (UTC+8), players will have to exit the game to receive the latest patch. All game modes will be back online once the latest patch is installed (may be postponed should there be any issues).
- After 11:00 (UTC+8), players who haven't installed the latest patch will be forced out of the server, and they will be able to play again after restarting the game client (may be postponed should there be any issues).
August 15 Update Overview
[Event]
- The Summer Celebration event has begun. Complete the server-wide battle quests to acquire Memory Spheres, Character Unlock Cards, Dynamic Portraits of your choice, and other fantastic rewards!

[Moviebuff Treasure Hunt]
- In the corner, there's a box containing a scattered collection of movie film reels. Perhaps there are some unexpected surprises inside? Use Sealing Wax to unlock the "Moviebuff Treasure Hunt." Within, there are ten hidden prizes. open each to claim your rewards!
- Activate 10 times to claim all the rewards. You will not receive duplicate rewards.
- The cost of opening a hidden prize will vary each time, and each subsequent opening will require more Sealing Wax.

[Intimacy Store]
- [Interactive Action] "Shared Wish - Sculptor → Mind's Eye" and "Shared Wish - Mind's Eye → Sculptor" will be available in the Intimacy Store for 50 Intimacy Points.

[Copycat Adjustments]
- The latest closing time for the [Copycat] mode is extended to 01:00 AM.
- Renamed the Senator to Orator.
- When each player interacts with the Radio for the first time, a secondary confirmation screen will pop up to prevent accidental Emergency Meetings.
- The Results panel in the mid-game elimination settlement interface will no longer display the identities of other contestants.
- Added player number display in the post-game chat channel and Record interface.
- The [Casual Mode] interface in [My Battles] now displays the number of MVP achievements in [Copycat].
- Visual Accessibility Settings is available in Copycat. Once activated, the colors of each faction will be adjusted according to the selected accessibility type.
- In the [Copycat] mode, Graffiti and some Emotes can be used during the Free Roam phase.
[Tarot Mode Adjustments]
- "Little Girl," Antiquarian, Journalist, Aeroplanist, Cheerleader, and Night Watch are now available in Tarot - Crystal Ball Mode.
- Gamekeeper: When the Crystal Ball is activated, the Deadweight area increases by 100%, and Trap's energy charge duration is reduced by 35 seconds.
- Violinist: The maximum number of Demon Notes a Survivor can be infected with is reduced to 1 stack.
- Evil Reptilian: When the Crystal Ball is activated, the damage of the crash extension area is reduced to half of a normal attack, and warning effects are added to the extension area.
- "Herald": When the Crystal Ball is activated and a Survivor is confined by Shadow Step, the duration of Intimidate is reduced to 8 seconds.
- Naiad: The progress of Humidity stacking upon ability hit is reduced to 20%.
- "Nightmare": Added related ability bonus.
- The Mind's Eye: After using Strike, all allies can sense all enemies' locations.
- Antiquarian: When there are 0/1/2/3 Survivors nearby, the duration of the first Disarm is adjusted to 5/4/3/3 seconds, and the stacking duration of Disarm Combo is adjusted to 6/5/4/4 seconds.
- Journalist: When the illusion is close to a teammate, its depletion rate no longer increases. You can also switch to photo mode when selecting the King.
- Cheerleader: The maximum number of times a single Survivor can receive Inspire from other Cheerleaders is increased to 4.
- Adjusted some of the Knight's ability bonuses.
- Adjusted the required number of Stars and ability values for some items in the Knight Shop.
- Merged Rage Potion and Super Rage Potion (Resistance Potion and Super Resistance Potion) into one item.
- The bonus for placing the enemy team's King on the Rocket Chair is reduced to 500.
- Increased the purchase limit of Coldsnap Flasks in the Knight Shop to 2.
- Added a switch in Settings to always display the number of teammates' Stars.
- When the required Stars for an item are sufficient, a quick message to Ask for Stars can also be sent in the Store interface.
[Tarot Mode Time-Limited Event]
- "Violent Struggle - Tarot" and "Crystal Ball" modes have been upgraded. Complete event quests to receive [Portrait Frame - Restless Crystal], [Sticker - Peer Into Fate], Clues, A-rarity Costume Trial Cards, and more! (Players who already own the rewards above will receive Costume Remnants instead.)

[Character Day]
- White Guard and Black Guard's (Wu Chang) Character Day (July 15 of the Lunar Calendar) is here and their annual Character Day Event has officially begun. Participate in the event and complete quests to obtain exclusive Character Day rewards! Players who participated in White Guard and Black Guard's Character Day last year will receive all-new Character Day rewards for this year after completing the event quest. Come and show your support for this beloved character!

[Experience Improvements]
- Optimized the label classification in the regular Event Shop.
- Added an option to equip Social Labels in the Character Profile.
- During combat preparation and combat settlement, players can choose to display Social Labels (not displayed in Ranked Matches). Toggle the display switch in [Settings] → [Social].
- Added a "Claim All" feature for Daily Quest and Weekend Quest rewards.
- Added an option to hide the UI in the Duo Dance mode of the Public Map - Dream Invitation.
- Optimized stuttering issues in the Public Map - Dream Invitation. The water reflection effect is now off by default upon entering the map and can be activated in settings if desired.
[Bug Fixes]
- Fixed an issue where some Characters' layout was incorrect in Character Relations.
- Fixed an issue in Tarot Mode where the Recovery Potion did not affect the Bloody Queen's ability.
- Fixed an issue in Copycat mode where the Pyrotechnist's explosive could not be passed to the next contestant.
- Fixed an issue in Copycat mode where the Phantom Thief would slide after using an ability.
- Fixed an issue in Copycat mode where the Mimic would transform into the first recorded contestant's appearance if it recorded one contestant's appearance and then recorded another contestant's appearance after the Emergency Meeting.
- Fixed an issue in Copycat mode where the interaction angles on both sides of the Cipher Machine were too narrow.
- Fixed an issue where the Journalist's illusion would not disappear after being knocked down.
- Fixed an issue where the Gardener's costume "After the Rain" behaved abnormally when performing the Emote "Twist."
- Fixed an issue where the Journalist's costume "Kaede Akamatsu" had abnormal interaction effects with some furniture.
- Fixed an issue in Copycat mode where the portraits in the meeting room were abnormal after players were eliminated.
- Fixed an issue in Copycat mode where the template messages sent by players did not match the selected ones.
- Fixed an issue where the Blue Hammock's animation did not play correctly after interacting with it in the Room.
- Fixed an issue where the Weird Wardrobe's preview animation did not play correctly in the Shop.
- Fixed an issue in Copycat mode where the voices of eliminated contestants could still be heard by other contestants during the Emergency Meeting.
