October 17 Update Overview
 
[Season Essence]

- The Season 34 Essence 2 is now available with new costume updates, including [S-rarity Costume] "Knight" - The Red Knight, [A-rarity Costume]"Psychologist" - The Silver Knight, and [A-rarity Costume] Patient - Spirit of the Lake. Upon reaching 80/130 draws, you can choose either [Portrait] "Psychologist" - The Silver Knight or [Portrait] Patient - Spirit of the Lake. Upon reaching 180 draws, you will receive [Portrait] "Knight" - The Red Knight.

- Obtain the Survivor "Knight" to receive the character's exclusive Room Music "Richard's Sanctuary." The reward will be sent to your mailbox, so be sure to claim it.
 
["Autumn Harvest" Limited-time Public Map]

- Introduced a new item, the "Halloween Lollipop," available in the Tavern Shop. Using it grants a random aura effect.

- The new character, "Knight," will now occasionally appear on the Public Map. Interacting with the Knight will reward you with daily tableware rewards.

- Added a new message from the "Knight" to the Tavern Guestbook.

- New dishes, Truffle Nougat and Candy Hollow, have been added to the menu. Visitors can now make and enjoy these new recipes.

- Optimized the Puppeteer's Switch Forms feature. Visitors can now switch to the "Louis" form while on the Public Map.

- Optimized the visual effects during transformations.
 
["Haunting Parade" Event]

- Step into the shadows of the unknown to uncover the secrets that lie within. Suddenly, you find yourself lost in the wilderness, only to mysteriously arrive in a town with deep connections to October City. People stroll through the streets, carrying with them the scent of bygone days. Scattered throughout the town, candies conceal a wondrous game. What will you do when night falls and a knock echoes at your door?

Event 1: Past Murmurs

- Complete daily check-ins to claim Clues, Fragments, [Portrait] Shh!, and more.

Event 2: Sweet Terror

- Gather as many fillings as possible within the time limit while avoiding or removing ghosts and obstacles. The game ends when all the fillings are collected, or the countdown reaches zero. You will then receive the fillings you have gathered. Each day, three types of fillings—honey, peanuts, and berries—will appear on the map, and you can gather up to 20 fillings a day. In Duo Mode, teammates share the total number of fillings gathered. Work together with your teammates to win the game!

Event 3: Story Experience

- The "Haunting Parade" story content unlocks daily over seven days. Complete each day's story to receive 20 Gloom Candy, totaling 140 Gloom Candy by the end of the event.
Event 4: Make Candy

- Participate in daily Quick Matches, Ranked Matches, and Violent Struggle modes (including Duo Hunters, Blackjack, Tarot, Chasing Shadows, Frenzy Rhapsody, and Hide and Seek), as well as Five-player Matches to earn random Syrups, which come in three varieties. Each match rewards varying amounts of Syrup depending on the match type and victory conditions, with a daily limit of 20 Syrups.

- Once you've obtained Syrup and Fillings from matches and the Sweet Terror event, it's time to make some candy! Crafting any candy recipe will earn you an equal amount of Gloom Candy. Collect different types of candy to receive various rewards in the Illustration Reward, including [Sticker] Cheers, [Portrait Frame] "Sweet Night," [Emote] Photographer - Give Treats, and [Room Music] Haunting Parade.

Event 5: Nocturnal Escape

- Nocturnal Escape has returned for a limited time! Challenge the magical maze and escape the fate of being trapped in magic forever.

Event 6: Event Shop

- Redeem Gloom Candy in the limited-time shop for the Photographer's A-rarity Costume - "Amber," the Little Girl's B-rarity Costume - "Lichen," [Emote] Entomologist - Jack-O'-Lantern, B-rarity Accessory - Colorful Memories, [Sticker] Weep, and [Sticker] Give Candies.

Name: Richard Sterling

Identity: "Knight"

Character Background: The "Knight" is on a quest to find clues about his sister. Wearing the knight helmet from his childhood, he firmly believes that a true duel with his destined enemy is imminent.
 
- [External Trait] Adaptation

The "Knight" fully immerses himself in the world of role-play. When he dons his helmet, he embodies the knight of his fantasies and temporarily gains knightly traits.
- [External Trait] Tactical Foresight

The "Knight" can predict the next two actions of the nearest Hunter within 13 meters over the next 8 seconds. Each correct prediction will impose Tactical Constraint on the Hunter and invigorate the "Knight" for 2 seconds, granting a 40% Movement Speed boost. If the Hunter is targeting another Survivor, the "Knight's" Tactical Foresight duration is reduced from 8 seconds to 5 seconds, and the constraint effect on attacks and abilities is weakened.

How to use:

This ability is activated in two stages. Hold the ability button and slide to predict whether the Hunter's first action within the next 8 seconds will be an ability or an attack. After making the initial prediction, the "Knight" can then predict whether the Hunter's next action within the following 4 seconds will be an ability, attack, or stalemate.

Tactical Constraint:

Attack: When the "Knight" successfully predicts the Hunter's next normal or charged attack, the attack will be blocked, causing the Hunter to inspect their weapon.

Ability: When the "Knight" successfully predicts the Hunter's next active ability (excluding control-switching, charging, canceling, or adjustment abilities), the ability will be blocked, rendering it unusable for the next 6 seconds.

Stalemate: When the "Knight" successfully predicts that the Hunter will not use an attack or ability during the second stage of Tactical Foresight, the "Knight" will strengthen his resolve, reducing the Fear generated by the next instance of damage taken by half for the next 4 seconds.

Tactical Restraint:

When the "Knight" begins rescuing a teammate, his Tactical Foresight effect will dissipate.
 
- [External Trait] Chivalrous Sympathy

The "Knight" can activate Chivalrous Sympathy on a Survivor within 8 meters who is on a Rocket Chair, allowing the Survivor to break free. Activating Chivalrous Sympathy for the first time will grant both the "Knight" and the Survivor the Simpatico effect.

Simpatico:

After successfully rescuing a teammate, both the "Knight" and the rescued Survivor are emboldened, reducing the Fear generated by the next instance of damage taken by half for the next 8 seconds.
 
- [External Trait] All Thumbs

Terrible with machines. Decoding Speed is decreased by 15%.
 
[Room]

[Limited-Time Event]

- During the "Haunting Parade" event, all Rooms will feature a Candy Basket. Visitors can interact with the basket in their own Room or in others' Rooms to receive Clues, Fragments, and more, up to 3 times per day.

[Open House Tour]

- The Open House Tour feature is now available. Players can enable this feature in Room Settings and select the Room they wish to showcase to visitors, regardless of their online or offline status. Each visitor can enjoy their visit to a Room independently of others.

- Visitors can also click the [Room Visit] button on the Room interface to view Rooms of others who have enabled this feature.

[Visit Adjustments]

- Increased the maximum number of visitors allowed in all Rooms.
 
[Event Shop]

- The following items are now permanently available in the Event Shop at 80 Spyglasses: [B-rarity Dish] Survivor - Truffle Nougat and [B-rarity Dish] Hunter - Candy Hollow.

[Combat]

- Adjusted the transformation effect of the Mimic in Copycat mode to be visible only to the player.
 
[Experience Improvements]

- Optimized the display rules for External Traits and Abilities in the Notebook interface, supporting scrolling to view text descriptions.

- Removed the Secondary Password verification for collecting the [Daily Free Package], allowing players to collect it directly.
 
[Bug Fixes]

- Fixed an issue where the sound effects for the Antiquarian's accessory "Maolong Scroll" were missing.

- Fixed an issue where Survivors could obtain Flare Guns from boxes after activating Legendary mode in Custom Rooms.

- Fixed an issue where eliminating players in Copycat mode could cause the game to lag.

- Fixed an issue where the Fire Investigator's airbag could prevent interaction with distant pallets.

- Fixed an issue where The Ripper's Fog Blade could not hit targets in certain locations.

- Fixed an issue where The Ripper could not pass through or be blocked by obstacles when using Fog Blade in certain locations.

- Fixed an issue where the Poseidon Watch's position would be abnormal when used by the Mind's Eye.

- Fixed an issue where the cage being generated by the "Goatman" would disappear immediately after hitting a Survivor during its creation.

- Fixed an issue where, in Ranked Matches with the Journalist, if the last remaining Survivor was present and the Hunter surrendered, the Survivor could not receive extra Dungeon Escape points.

- Fixed an issue in Copycat mode where the sound effect of the electric door opening could be heard during the Emergency Meeting Phase.

- Fixed an issue where the Explorer's External Trait - Energy Reserves would trigger abnormally in some cases.

- Fixed an issue where the breathing of the Mercenary and First Officer could be too loud while running.

- Fixed an issue where the Journalist's illusion would still consume the Soul Weaver's cobwebs after disappearing.

- Fixed an issue where quick messages might remain after Survivor left battle following the Photographer's activation of Camera World.

- Fixed an issue where "Fool's Gold" could be seen through while moving in some cases.

- Fixed the issue where the Violinist's attack animation was abnormal;

- Fixed an issue where the Mercenary Costume OPH.NAIB carrying the accessory Inversion would occasionally cause visual effects to penetrate on iOS devices;

- Fixed an issue where the Photographer could be blocked by Survivors outside the mirror image when knocked back by the Antiquarian in the Mirror World.

- Fixed the issue where the Weeping Clown's standby motion sound volume was too high in the Matching Room;

- Fixed an issue where the progress bar would jump in matches between the "Prisoner" and the Hermit when opening the gate.

- Fixed an issue where the special effects could repeatedly trigger abnormally after a Survivor is knocked down by the Violinist carrying the accessory - Burning Movement.

- Fixed the issue where the description for Geisha's Deduction 10 was incorrect;

- Fixed the issue where the sound effects for the Lawyer's Emote Blow Kiss were abnormal;

- Fixed the issue where the screen performance was inconsistent when switching to the Yithian after The Shadow summoned the Yithian;

- Fixed the issue where, in some cases, players could get stuck inside the Embalmer's Coffin;

- Fixed the issue where the sound effects for the "Prisoner" Character Day Emote "Transmission" were missing

- Fixed the issue where the sound effects were abnormal when the "Psychologist" initiated Empathize;

- Fixed the issue where the Soul Weaver could teleport when stopping movement during Cobweb Accelerate;

- Fixed the issue where Smiley Face's Rocket Dash skill had abnormal wall collision detection in the Red Church scene;

- Fixed an issue where sound effects would repeatedly play when Smiley Face carries certain accessories while ballooning the Survivor.

- Fixed an issue where Smiley Face would behave abnormally when using the Excitement ability after being hit by the Coordinator's Flare Gun during Rocket Dash;

- Fixed the issue where certain components in the Moon River Park scene had abnormal collisions;

- Fixed the issue where the Priestess could not immediately cross the Ultra-long Passage after releasing it at specific locations;

- Fixed the issue where certain components in the Sacred Heart Hospital scene of Hide and Seek mode were placed abnormally;

- Fixed the issue where the purple window Easter egg in the Lakeside Village scene's windmill triggered abnormally;

- Fixed the issue where some Emote sound effects were missing when the Entomologist carried the costume Sophia;

- Fixed the issue where the sound effects for Smiley Face's Rocket Dash were abnormal during the skill;

- Fixed the issue where the Painter could be interrupted while placing the Drawing Board in some cases;

- Fixed an issue where the Priestess could create abnormal Straight Passages when the Exit Gate is activated.
