Name: Hernando Romero

Identity: Matador

Character Background: Resolute in leaving his timid past behind, Hernando Romero pushes ever closer to the edge of danger. To him, only the applause won at the brink between life and death is true glory.

[External Trait] Muleta Mastery

Matador swings his Muleta, instantly dashing to a targeted location within 6 meters. Upon arrival, he cleaves in a circular area with a radius of 2.5 meters for 0.6 seconds, becoming immune to most damage and control effects. If the cleave hits the Hunter, Matador dashes another 10 meters in front, knocking back the Hunter and slowing them by 50% for 2.5 seconds.

Dashing into the Hunter or terrain instantly triggers the cleave.

If the initial dash ends near a window or dropped pallet with no Hunter nearby, the cleave is replaced by a fast vault and Interaction Speed increases by 10%.

How to Use

Click to release Cleave in place, or hold to charge and dash to a designated location before releasing.

[External Trait] Quite

After hitting the Hunter with a cleave, the next cleave within range of a Survivor will also grant them immunity to most damage and control effects, and carry them forward in a dash for 13 meters alongside Matador.

This effect ends after moving the Survivor and is regained the next time a cleave hits the Hunter.

[External Trait] Gaonera Pass

Moving near the Hunter or using Muleta Mastery builds Courage. At 100 Courage, gain 1 charge of Gaonera Pass for up to 2 charges per match. Charging resumes only after a charge is consumed.

Activating Gaonera Pass makes the next vault a fast vault, leaving a Muleta on the spot for 8 seconds. When the Hunter sees the Muleta, they are tempted to move to it and perform the same vault. If the Hunter takes longer than 5 seconds to reach the Muleta, its tempting effect ends.

If Matador is the only Survivor being chased within 25 meters when the Hunter istempted, the Hunter's Interaction Speed decreases by 10%. If another Survivor within 25 meters is also being chased, the Hunter's Interaction Speed increases by 20%.

[External Trait] Faena

Living so often at that edge of death, the Matador has developed an instinctive sense for danger and moves more cautiously when threatened. When the Hunter attacks within 6 meters, Matador's Movement Speed decreases by 10%. Accustomed to bullfighting, his agility increases Vaulting Speed by 10%.

Character Adjustments

Explorer

Crouching and walking no longer trigger the sprint effect from the Energy Reserves external trait.

The Movement Speed bonus from Energy Reserves has increased from 25% to 35%.

While shrunken, Survivors can vault pallets or windows and rescue teammates from Rocket Chairs. Interacting will automatically cancel the shrunken state.

Added an interface prompt for dropped pages.

The Calibration success rate bonus from the Curiosity trait has increased from 0.8% to 1.2%.

Perfumer

The post-Euphoria damage reduction effect duration has been increased from 2.5 to 3.3 seconds.

Thief

The camera view is now zoomed out when using the Flashlight.

Patient

Increased vaulting speed over obstacles.

Reduced the transition time from being pulled to performing a vault.

Reduced collision volume during Hook, making it less likely to be blocked by obstacles.

Hunters can no longer block the Patient from being pulled toward obstacles or vaulting away.

Cowboy

Improved Lasso hit detection, making it easier to strike targets behind low obstacles.

When Lassoing a Survivor (not on a balloon or Rocket Chair), the acceleration lasts an additional 1.5 seconds, and durability consumption increases from 10% to 20%.

Cheerleader

During Encourage, Movement Speed bonuses for yourself and teammates are reduced from 5% to 4%. The Cheerful speed boost duration is reduced from 1.5 to 1.3 seconds, and the slowdown duration is reduced from 0.75 to 0.65 seconds.

When charging Inspire, teammates' item cooldowns can now be viewed.

Batter

Batting cooldown increased from 10 to 14 seconds.

Burst cooldown increased from 40 to 55 seconds.

Lanternist

Freeze-frame yourself duration reduced from 10 to 9 seconds.

Soul Weaver

Window vault time reduced from 2.81 to 2.31 seconds.

Spinning and Web Attack cooldowns reduced from 10 to 8 seconds.

Maximum Entangled stacks from webbing increased from 2 to 3.

Movement speed reduction from 2 Entangled stacks increased from 5% to 8%.

The Feaster

Pallet destruction time reduced from 2.87 to 2.57 seconds.

Movement Speed penalty while charging and selecting Tentacle reduced from 10% to 6%.

Optimized Tentacle selection logic to prevent visible Tentacles from being unselectable.

Night Watch

Improved judgment during Tier I "Windwalk - Charge," making it less likely to be blocked by obstacles.

Tempest's maximum attraction distance increased by 10%. Initial wind force increased, growth rate reduced, with maximum wind force unchanged.

"Hullabaloo"

Double Surprise cooldown reduced from 18 to 16 seconds.

The Shadow

After a Survivor is eliminated or the Exit Gate is powered, the Corrupted Ostracon's maximum duration is capped at 60 seconds, and its indestructible period is reduced from 9 to 6 seconds.

"Cueist"

After a Survivor is eliminated, Closed Domain's single decoding rollback is reduced from 15% to 12%.

Near a Rocket Chair with a Survivor, Cue Ball's transfer time after capturing a Survivor is reduced from 3 to 1.2 seconds.

Other

Optimized Flywheel Effect server-side checks to reduce the chance of being pulled back after the effect ends.

Added a sound effect when successfully rescuing a teammate from a Rocket Chair.

Players with 50+ Stars in Tier VII Ranked Match will be reset to Tier V-1 after the season ends.
